Girls of the Golden West is Marydee Reynolds and Amalea Tshilds, re creating the music of Marydee's great aunt Millie, who along with her sister Dolly became one of the first successful female country acts in history, recording and touring throughout the US in post depression America. They are available as a duo and as a full band with Joe Adamik Elise Bergman and Justin Matthew Brown

You might find Chicago native Amalea Tshilds hosting a sing-along, performing her recent project Pollyanna Vox, a multi voice group or playing solo with accompaniment of vocal loops, guitar, piano. As of 2016 she is happily keeping busy writing music and playing with a variety of local favorites— The Paulina Hollers, the Girls of the Golden West, Jim Becker Group, and Nora O’Connor to name a few.

New York native Marydee Reynolds relocated to the Windy City to record for the legendary Wax Trax ! label in the 90s and she has worked with variety of artists from D# and Lisa Germano to Bill Rieflin and Jim Thirwell. She has written music for various film and television soundtracks and her work has been featured on Fox, The WB and MTV
